The difference between sensible heat and full heat core material:
Full heat type: usually made of specially processed paper (such as kraft paper soaked with lithium chloride), which can exchange temperature and humidity.
The sensible heat type: usually made of aluminum plate (also useful steel plate), only the temperature exchange.
Comparison of the effect and application of heat recovery:
In the heat recovery process, because the full heat equipment can exchange temperature and humidity, it is not easy to produce condensed water, because the humidity will be exchanged and enter the air on the other side. In a relatively simple way, if the indoor humidity is greater than the outdoor humidity, then the two air flows in the heat exchange at the same time, the indoor humidity will be transmitted to the fresh air to increase the humidity of the fresh air. This is more obvious in winter, indoor humidity, outdoor humidity is small, exhaust air will give fresh air humidification. When the indoor humidity is lower than the outdoor humidity, the humidity of the outdoor fresh air will "run" into the exhaust air, which is equivalent to reducing the humidity of the outdoor fresh air. This situation often occurs in spring and summer in the south. Due to the indoor air conditioning, the indoor humidity is lower than the outdoor humidity, so the full-heat core will be used in the fresh air system more.
For sensible heat equipment, only temperature can be exchanged, not humidity. In the process of heat exchange, if the temperature difference between indoor and outdoor is too large, condensate will be generated in the heat recovery unit after reaching the dew point of the air. Therefore, all sensible heat equipment should be installed with drain pipes. So when you see that the equipment has a drain pipe, you can basically be sure that it is a sensible heat recovery equipment. The sensible heat recovery equipment is generally used in the industry, the air volume is large, and the size can be customized.
