Product Description
A wet air cooler (evaporative air cooler) uses water and air as cooling media, utilizing the latent heat of evaporation of circulating cooling water and the air containing water vapor to remove heat from the cooled (condensed) gas or liquid.
During operation, the circulating cooling water is pumped to the spray pipe on the upper part of the cooling coil components, and evenly sprayed onto the outer surface of the cooling coil through the nozzle, forming a very thin water film.
High temperature liquid (or gas) enters from the upper manifold of the coil and fin components and is distributed to each cooling tube. The heat inside the cooling tube is transferred to the water film on the outer surface of the tube through the tube wall, causing the water film to evaporate and thus achieving heat exchange.
After the water film evaporates into water vapor and mixes with air to form humid air, it is drawn by an axial flow fan through a cooling coil or finned component to cool the high-temperature liquid (or gas) inside the cooling coil or finned tube, thereby achieving another heat exchange.
The humid air that has undergone heat exchange is drawn outside the equipment and enters the atmosphere,The circulating cooling water that has not been evaporated absorbs heat and drips (cooled during the dripping process) into the lower water tank, where it is mixed with fresh water (automatically replenished with evaporated water by a float valve) and supplied to the water pump for circulation.
The cooling pipes in the upgraded wet air cooler (evaporative air cooler) can be replaced with laser welded heat exchange plates, which can effectively reduce equipment volume and improve heat exchange efficiency.
